Guests Enjoying a Magical Tour at Universal's Islands of Adventure

Universal Orlando Resort Private Theme Park Tours

While Universal offers a very valuable Express Pass service, the dirty little secret that Universal keeps is that they only promise the Express Lines will never be longer than half as long as the regular lines.

That means that a ride with a regular wait time of 60 to 90 minutes can still have an Express Line wait of 30 to 45 minutes!

But don’t worry – our guides have been giving private tours in the Orlando theme parks for over 10 years.  We know all the secrets, all the strategies, and all the tricks that will ensure your family enjoys the shortest waits possible!

Just How Does Magical Tours Help Your Family?

Universal Orlando Express Pass

Maximize Your Express Pass

Maximizing your Express Pass is all about understanding how the crowds move at the Universal parks, and knowing which rides get busiest at which times during the day. We have had years of experience in the Universal parks studying crowd flows, and the result is that our tour guests enjoy Express Lines that average 5 to 10 minutes each!

Knock Out Two Universal Parks in One Day!

We offer private tours of both Universal Orlando theme parks – the Universal Studios Florida theme park, and the Islands of Adventure theme park. These two parks are within walking distance of each other.  Most days of the year, with a “Park to Park Ticket” and a “2-Park Express Pass”, we can help you enjoy almost all the rides at both theme parks in just one day!

Help With Ticket Purchasing

Universal’s online ticket system is not the easiest to understand – in fact, to put it bluntly, it’s a confused mess.  However, we know which theme park ticket and Express Pass combinations are the best to have, and we can help you by ordering your tickets for you at no additional cost!

How Do Our Tours Work?

  • Early Start Means More Rides

The first few hours of the day are critical in getting you on some of the most popular rides before the crowds pour in and the Express Lines get out of hand. Keep your mornings free of any breakfast reservations or scheduled stops, and plan to meet your guide at the park 30 minutes ahead of opening.

  • Follow the Leader

Our tour guides have years of experience and insider knowledge, and may frequently recommend things that go against what most “guide books” tell people to do. Trust your guide’s leadership and you will avoid many long lines others will be stuck waiting in.

  • Help Us Help You

We will contact you with questions to help us plan your itinerary. Universal is not the sort of place you want to visit without having a solid plan in advance. The more details you can give us, the better a plan we will be able to put together for your family.

  • Be Flexible

Unexpected things can happen at the parks. Inexperienced families will be caught off guard and find their best plans going down the drain. However, our guides know how to handle just about anything that can come up during a tour. Following their recommendations can help you avoid many of the pitfalls other families will fall in to.

  • Everyone Needs an Express Pass

Without an Express Pass you will not have access to the shorter “Express Lines” and you will be stuck in long lines all day.  Make sure each person in your party has both a park ticket and an Express Pass.  If you need help purchasing your Express Passes, we will be more than happy to help you.

  • Harry Potter Stretches Over Both Theme Parks

For families looking to enjoy the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, it is important to understand that there are two separate Harry Potter areas – one area at each Universal theme park.  At Universal Studios Florida you will find Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley, and next door at Islands of Adventure (within walking distance) you will find Harry Potter’s Hogsmeade.  The two areas are connected via the Hogwarts Express train ride, but you must have a “Park to Park” theme park ticket (allows you to visit both parks on the same day) in order to ride the train between the two Harry Potter areas.

Private Theme Park Tour Rates

All of our Universal Orlando private theme park tour rates are based on families of up to 6 guests (ages 3 and up). For families larger than 6 guests, additional fees may apply.

All members of your touring party must have both a theme park ticket and a Universal Express Pass.  We are happy to help you with purchasing both park tickets and Express Passes.

The rates listed below are “flat rates” that cover your entire family (of up to 6 people) for the time listed.

Half Day Tours – these tours start promptly when the parks open and last for 4 hours.  We recommend Half Day Tours if you are only wanting to tour a single Universal theme park. Most weekdays these tours are priced at $300. During the weekends and holiday periods these tours are priced higher, depending on how busy the park is expected to be.

Full Day Tours – these tours start promptly when the parks open and last until 5 PM.  We recommend Full Day Tours if you are wanting to tour both Universal theme parks in one day.  Most weekdays these tours are priced at $600. During the weekends and holiday periods these tours are priced higher, depending on how busy the park is expected to be.

We understand things can happen.  In the unfortunate event you need to cancel, we are happy to refund you your entire amount, minus a 10% planning and processing fee, so long as you cancel with us no later than 60 days prior to your tour date.

We are very sorry, but due to the logistics in planning for a tour, we cannot offer refunds for guests who cancel with us less than 60 days in advance.

In addition, due to the high demand on our services during the busy seasons and holiday periods, we cannot offer any refunds for any tours booked during those times.

At Magical Tours, we prefer to be upfront and clear about all of our private tour terms and policies. Please take the time to read the following information closely.

(1) Magical Tours has no control over the weather or any theme park management. Should poor weather conditions cause any of the theme parks to close certain attractions, entire areas of the property, or the parks, themselves, Magical Tours cannot be held accountable for their actions. Refunds are not issued for poor weather and rescheduling due to poor weather may not always be possible.

(2) Magical Tours cannot be held accountable for missing or stolen merchandise while on theme park property during a tour. Guests are responsible for seeing to their own property during a tour, even when asking one of their Magical Tours guides to handle that property for short periods of time, such as when the guests are enjoying an attraction that does not permit or accommodate them taking their property with them.

(3) All guests attending the tour must be 18 years of age or older, or, accompanied by a parent or adult guardian. Magical Tours guides cannot be held responsible for overseeing anyone less than 18 years of age at any time during the tour. Guides may be available to sit with a minor who chooses not to enjoy an attraction, however guides cannot be held responsible for the actions of the minor during that time.

(4) Magical Tours cannot be held accountable for the actions or safety of any guest at any theme park during a tour. If at any time, should any Magical Tours guest willingly or knowingly violate any safety rules or regulations as set forth by the theme park’s management, the tour will immediately be terminated with no refund issued. Any remaining days left to that tour will be canceled, also with no refund issued. We are very sorry for having to enforce this strict policy however our guest’s safety is our number one concern.

(5) In the case of a cancellation, you must notify Magical Tours no less than 60 days before your scheduled VIP Tour date to receive a refund. All qualifying cancellations will be minus a 10% processing fee. We are sorry, but due to the high demand on our services, and the need to plan as far in advance as possible for a high quality tour, cancellations of VIP Tours scheduled to occur on a “Holiday” (as will be marked on your PayPal Invoice) cannot be refunded. No refunds will be issued for any VIP Tours, for any reason, if they are cancelled less than 60 days prior to the VIP Tour date.

(6) The cost of a Magical Tour covers only the tour itself. Guests are responsible for park admission tickets, food, souvenirs, or any other expense they incur during the tour.

(7) Guests who make reservations for shows, meals or other activities that take place on the same day as their tour are responsible for paying for and attending those activities themselves. Many theme park reservations made using a credit card to hold the reservation require a minimum of 24 hours to cancel to avoid being charged. Magical Tours cannot be held accountable for charges made to your credit card in the event that you do not keep your reservation times for said activities. Please be very clear with your tour guide concerning your reservations so that they can help you accommodate them in a timely manner.

(8) In order to keep your wait times as little as possible it is very important that you show up promptly for your tour, are ready to begin at the time appointed at booking (generally, when the park opens for General Admission), that you refrain from scheduling any reservations (meals, shows or other activities) to take place during your tour time and that you follow all of your guide’s advice during the day. Failure to follow these guidelines will mean longer wait times throughout the entire day. Magical Tours does not, and cannot, guarantee that you will not have to wait in any lines. However, if you follow the guidelines listed above, we promise that your wait times for rides and shows will be as little and as few as possible.

(9) Magical Tours cannot guarantee that you will get to enjoy every attraction at the park during the tour.  Some Disney attractions may not have FastPasses available at the time you book your tour due to popularity and the limited number of FastPasses available.  Some Universal attractions may not have a separate line for guests with a Universal Express Pass.  In these cases, we suggest you attempt the regular lines for these attractions after your tour has concluded.
